Just posting a quick race report on the success of our last 2 recent races. On the 16th August Simon raced Ironman Leeds and finished a very successful 10th place in a time of 9hr 58min over the 112 mile super hilly bike course and 26.2 mile marathon run (the swim was cancelled due to unsafe algae levels). We made some changes to Simon’s race day nutrition after several Ironman races had finished with severe stomach cramp and ruining Simon’s ability to run to his full potential. On this occasion I am happy to say he finished really strong with a cracking time on a very challenging course! Fast forward to the following weekend and we were in Leipzig Germany for me to race the half distance (1900m swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run), I had arguably one of my best races on a super flat and fast course and finished in 5hrs which gained me 8th in my age group and also a qualifying slot to the 70.3 World Championship 2027!! Two very satisfying weekends of racing, sightseeing, visiting a friend and eating some lovely food ![]()
