Huge kudos to my husband and athlete Simon Smith who completed the insanely hilly Valentines Day Zig Zag Marathon at the weekend. The course in Barrow near Bury St Edmunds was certainly his toughest to date with a total elevation of 2345ft of climbing over 26.2 miles. Under chilly blue skies Simon completed the course in 3hr 20min earning him a PB, course record and first place! Big congratulations – evidence that hard work and consistency pay off!
